Twitter wants to let users choose who mentions them.
Twitter is always looking for new methods to give its users more say over their time spent on the app. The most recent improvement relates to increased anonymity regarding platform mentions.
Jane Manchun Wong, a specialist in social media, has provided us with this information. She just published a tweet discussing the opportunity for mention customization.
The user's handle can be reduced to zero by barring them, or the user can restrict themselves to features that allow them to follow people who may or may not mention them.
This might be a huge step forward for those concerned about their safety if and when it is implemented. Similarly, if you dislike it when others include your name in the mentions area, this is for you.
Given that nobody enjoys hearing their name dropped uninvited, we see no reason this won't be a smashing success when it comes. Keep in mind that this is a brand-new addition receiving a lot of interest.
Twitter has introduced numerous handy new features in the previous month. It's a new area of study.
Although the launch did not go as planned, one thing is sure. Thanks to contributions from members of the community, the new audio service has become a one-stop shop for listeners interested in both live and archived programming.
Podcasts are among the most popular products.
However, we also saw it incorporating several new video-related features; as a result, it now offers its users an experience that is perhaps more immersive than that given by rival app TikTok.
Last but not least, users were pleased with the app's introduction of the long-awaited Edit button. Having it locked behind a paywall, though, disappointed many readers.
Blue Service in the app alone costs $4.99 a month. Many people are understandably worried that future products of this nature will also carry a heavy price tag. As a result, if you're looking for a higher level of protection and anonymity, you'll have to pay for it.
In the meantime, let's make the most of what we have without spending any money. Do you have any thoughts?
